Dr Sharon Rogers
I am an educational consultant living in Pasadena, California. Previously, I taught as an Adjunct Faculty member in Communicative Sciences Disorders at California State University Fullerton, as Assistant Professor in Teacher Education at Claremont Graduate University, and as Adjunct Faculty at Pacific Oaks College. I have also served as a consultant for several school districts.  

My Ph.D. is from Claremont Graduate University in the School of Educational Studies. I have a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Nebraska. I have a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and am licensed by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance (Lic. #8802).

Prior to receiving my doctorate, I taught for 15 years in the Pasadena Unified School District, Pasadena, California and Louisville, Kentucky. I specialized in working with children with complex communication profiles especially those diagnosed with autism, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury and developmental delays. I was awarded Teacher of the Year at Roosevelt Elementary in Pasadena in 1995.

I have given presentations on my work and research at conferences of the International Society of Augmentative and Alternative Communication, California Speech-Language Hearing Association, United States Society of Augmentative and Alternative Communication, American Speech Language Hearing Association, and the Down Syndrome Association. I serve on the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing since 1996-to present.
